Feelin’ fruity? Turn foil balloons into colorful fruit slices with a few easy steps to give any summer party a little refresh!
Supplies:
- Helium Tank
- Foil balloons in various fruit colors
- String or ribbon
- White and red tissue paper
- Black adhesive vinyl
- Spray adhesive
Instructions:
For each fruit slice design, choose one of two ways for decorating your balloons.
- You can first decorate your balloons, and then inflate them with your Balloon Time Helium Tank. This saves time when preparing for your party as you can decorate the balloons in advance. If you choose this route, ensure that you do not place any decorations within about 3-4” from the edge of the balloon.
- You can inflate the balloons and then adhere the decorations. This makes it easier to ensure proper placement of the decorations, but must be done closer to the time the party starts.
Citrus Slices:
- Cut out six triangles, about four inches tall, from white tissue paper. Trim the three points of each triangle to round them a bit.
- Spray the back of each triangle with spray adhesive and adhere to your balloon. To ensure they’re evenly spaced and centered, lightly place one triangle and then place the triangle directly opposite it.
- Then fill in the rest. You can adjust the triangles if necessary. Once they are in place and evenly spaced, press down over all the edges to adhere them fully to the balloon.
Watermelon and Dragon Fruit:
- Cut out a circle of red tissue paper, about 10” wide and spray with spray adhesive. Adhere the circle to one side of the balloon and press down to seal all edges.
- Cut out a few dozen seed shapes from black vinyl and adhere them all over the red tissue.
Kiwi:
- Cut out a small circle of white tissue paper and adhere it to the center of the balloon.
- Cut out a bunch of seed shapes from black vinyl and adhere around the edge of the white circle.
